Cornelia Herfurtner

Cornelia Herfurtner is a sculptor. She explores social cohesion. Cornelia Herfurtner also makes installations about freedom of assembly in the past and present. [An installation is a work of art in space. And freedom of assembly means that people have the right to meet together in a place and express their opinions. This is protected by German law. People frequently had to fight for this right in the past and must continue to do so today.] She enters into an exchange with the viewers about issues such as care, resistance, and participation. These topics are important for our lives together as a community.
