Students from the University of Osnabrück and the Hochschule für Musik Detmold invite you to join them for a presentation of their works. They were created as part of the seminar ‘’sustain_sound. Ecological music education for sustainable development″.
The works include soundscapes and performances that deal with the question: ‘What does the future sound like?’. The focus is on places that have a special personal significance for the students. Based on reflections on how the chosen places sounded in the past and how they sound today, their works deal with the question of how they might sound in a possible future.
The ‘sustain_sound’ seminar is a cross-university project that combines innovative approaches in music education with the topics of ecology and sustainability. It aims to link artistic-pedagogical practice with ecological and social issues and thus make a contribution to education for sustainable development.
The public is warmly invited to visit the presentation and be inspired by the students’ sonic futures.
