Learning opens up our horizons. Everything newly learnt
brings us a little closer to the things and creatures of this world –
learning is great! So why should we UNlearn? Sometimes we learn
behaviours that get in the way of togetherness and a diverse worldview.
We develop prejudices that can lead to people in our society being
treated less favourably than others. None of us is free from prejudices.
They are learned – but where, how and from whom? And how can we
unlearn them in order to gain a new perspective?
A research group is meeting at the Kunsthalle to address these
questions. It consists of people who investigate barriers regarding
language, body, gender, origin and class. Together we want to recognise
the barriers. We want to unlearn prejudices. And learn new barrier-free
thinking.
On December 4, from 14:00 to 17:00 the group is open to the
public – everyone can join. You are invited to join in the discussion
and research. Together we will develop texts, images and other
materials.
