The Volxtheater of the theatre workshop Bethel has developed a new play. It is called Transformers.
Transformation means change. By transformers, we mean people who
initiate change in society. They help shape these changes. This new play
will be developed in exchange with the Kunsthalle Osnabrück. It
references the art and the exhibition space of the Kunsthalle Osnabrück.
The actors of the Volxbühne are not trained in acting. Together with
professionals they work on current topics. The new play of the
Volxtheater focusses on the topics of the actors. But it is also about
accessibility. What kind of experiences have the actors made with the
topic?
Together we will have two workshops. Together we will get to know the
works, installations and exhibits better. [An exhibit is something that
is shown in an exhibition. For example an art work.] [An installation
is an art work in a room.] We conquer the Kunsthalle. Everything is
possible. Everything is self-determined. Everyone can take part. You do
not need any prior experience. The theater play will be developed from
the two workshops. It will be performed on two days in February. For the
theater days called Reality Check.
The workshops take place in the Kunsthalle. You can take part in the
workshops and the performance. The workshop dates do not build on each
other, so you can also register for individual workshop dates. You can
also participate in the workshops without playing in the performance. If
you wish, you are also welcome to participate in all the dates.
