As part of the cooperation with the Theaterwerkstatt Bethel, the Volxtheater presents the play Samsa’s Metamorphoses after Franz Kafka and Haruki Murakami:
A beetle wakes up in the morning and has become a man.
Transformations that raise questions: How can I live self-determined? Who do I belong to? And who am I?
And then the man meets a woman. With her, he wants to discover the answers to his questions together.
In Katrin Nowak’s performance, Angela Calow (woman) and Bernold Rix
(man) play out their transformations in space, time and body.
“Perhaps people stay sane by doing the little things unflinchingly
and conscientiously, even when the world is falling into ruins.” [Quote
from Haruki Murakami.] [Undeterred means: one does not allow oneself to
be influenced. One simply carries on.]
The event takes place as part of the Theatre Days Reality Check of the Osnabrück Theatre.

North Rhine-Westphalia, Regional Cultural Policy NRW, the Fonds
