In the exhibition “OUT/THERE,” students of the 13th grade art seminar at Ratsgymnasium present 10 artistic works. After three semesters of intensive study of strategies and concepts of “art in public space,” the results are presented in the mediation space of the Kunsthalle Osnabrück and in public spaces throughout the city. The resulting works are very wide-ranging. From installations that rethink spaces, performances that transform everyday situations into artistic interventions that challenge the familiar, and many other projects that deal with questions of visibility, participation, and encounter.
With OUT/THERE, they want to show what art can achieve in public spaces: it attracts attention, provokes, connects, and opens up new perspectives on the places that surround us every day. The artists are looking forward to viewing, trying out, and experiencing the resulting works together.
