From 14 to 18 February, an exhibition on the project Are We Born for the War? – Young Ukrainians sharing their experiences can be seen in the cloister and new building of the Kunsthalle Osnabrück.
The exhibition shows people who created music and art during the Russian war of aggression. The works were created by or in collaboration with Ukrainians under the age of 25 who were affected by the war in one way or another. The project, initiated in 2022 by the Gedenkstätten [memorial sites] Gestapokeller and Augustaschacht e. V. and terre des hommes, has made it possible for them to share their experiences. The opening will take place on Wednesday 14 February at 17:00.
On Sunday 18 February at 15:30, the Oscar-nominated documentary film 20 Days in Mariupol will be shown as part of the exhibition in the Kunsthalle’s new building. It shows the situation of the civilian population in the city of Mariupol, besieged by the Russian military in 2022, from the perspective of the only international reporters on site. There will be an opportunity for discussion after the film. The film will be shown in the original English version. The film screening is free of charge.
The event is free of charge. You do not need to register.
