Our romantic relationships are a reflection of social structures. This means that some topics are significant in our lives together as a society—and in love, too.
Josephine Apraku reads from her book “Kluft und Liebe” (Chasm and Love). She describes discrimination—in other words, disadvantage and marginalisation. People are marginalised for various reasons: because of their origins, their gender, or for other reasons. This also affects our romantic relationships. What are some ways of dealing with this in order to grow together?
The event will be moderated by Fikri Anıl Altıntaş. This is more than just a classic reading. Josephine Apraku will read selected passages from her book and explain how the book was created. But she also invites you to take part in an interactive journaling session. This means that we will write together. We will think about questions like these: how do social power structures influence our own behaviour in relationships? And how can we make relationships more conscious and more equal?

The workshop and the reading is suitable for people aged 12 and over.
