Kunsthalle Osnabrück and Fundament Schallplatten invite Timo Katz and Lars Hillebrand from the label “Grace Juwellers“ and the music event “Super mit Sosze“ (Bielefeld). In the record shop, they will talk about their label work with “Grace Juwellers“, school music and school music releases from the 60s to the 90s. Afterwards, the whole thing turns into a relaxed bar evening and open exchange over drinks and listening to records together from the spectrum of school music, other regional music and obscurities worth listening to from record finds that Timo and Lars have discovered over the years.
The label “Grace Juwellers“ is interested in almost forgotten music recordings, alongside other things. In 2023, the label released a collection of folk songs that were written, performed and recorded by students and their teachers in Canada (British Columbia) in 1980, virtually under the feet of the Rocky Mountains. These recordings document an exciting collaboration between young people and adults that was previously inaccessible to the general public. They captivate with a musical beauty that will not only bring a smile and perhaps a tear of emotion to the specialised music fan.
